	I was going through this one girl's album of her friend's birthday. Birthday girl was surrounded by friends and she had so many presents, nice ones too. She just seemed happy and loved. And then I was reminded of my own birthday. Bitter nostalgia. Nobody told me as you get older, you'd get lonelier. Maybe next year I'll have a happy birthday.

my birthday wasnt great either
my 19th birthday - where im finally legal to do whatever i want
yet my best friends didnt show up - cause they were busy with midterm exams
& my birthday just so happen to fall during that week

yeah it happens.. Everyone makes it out that we are so important when we are young and then as we get older... birthdays are celebrated less and less.. as with any other holiday.. My Christmases aren't as amazing as they were ten years ago either...

Won't it be neat if you choose a random day, grab a bunch of your closest friends, and do some random thing "just cause?" You know, just to celebrate the fact that you're alive. (: Who says we have to celebrate our birthday on our technical, literal birthday anniversary?
